The Parting Glass

Cambridge Folk Festival 2020

A classic!!

After a harmony workshop on "The Parting Glass," here is the final project, presented for your listening pleasure!

Inch by Inch

sung by Peggy Seeger

Peggy describes this song as a bit "corny," and I'd probably agree, although it's ALSO one of those lovely and and gentle songs that I remember singing growing up. It's one of those cozy and nostalgic songs that I couldn't help but share :)

Wild Mountain Thyme

Whitby Folk Week @ Home

"Wild Mountain Thyme" (AKA "Will you Go, Lassie Go") is an Irish folk song from the mid-20th century that is fairly recognizable at this point!

It's one of those "ear worm" type songs...for me at least. Here's a beautiful rendition from Whitby Folk Week in August.

Sing w The Wilsons

Whitby Folk Week @ Home

This recording was done in relation to the virtual Whitby Folk Week in the UK.

Here's a lovely opportunity to learn some new songs, and sing along with some glorious voices!

Stand Steady

by Alex  Sturbaum

Alex Sturbaum, Laura Alexander, and Jonathan Werk all put a lot of time and energy into this project to help raise money for essential workers this summer (2020). Here's the song that Alex Sturbaum wrote to lead the call to action and their community of singers!
